The Universe Leaves Bread Crumbs
We’ve all had those days where the sky feels a little too heavy, and the world seems to be testing your limits. Yesterday was exactly that kind of day for me.
I woke up already feeling a bit overwhelmed, and then the universe decided to drop some pretty rough news on my lap. You know that feeling when the ground shifts underneath you? I could feel myself starting to get rattled. The anxiety was creeping in, and I was dangerously close to letting the day spiral.
But then, the universe did what it always does when I am not paying attention: it sent a sign.
Right when I was at my lowest point, someone unexpectedly handed me a little Jesus statuette. It was such a small, simple gesture, but it completely turned my afternoon around. It made my day. It felt like a gentle nudge saying, “Hey, take a breath. You aren't doing this alone.”
The momentum shifted. On my way home, I spent the drive talking to my daughter, filling my space with love and connection instead of overthinking. And the universe wasn't done yet. When I finally stepped out of the car, my eyes caught a glint of silver on the ground.
A dime.
For me, this was a clear, undeniable sign from DT.
Finding that dime was my turning point. I decided right then and there that I wasn't going to let fear or frustration steal my joy. Life is too short to hand over my peace to a bad afternoon.
Instead of focusing on the rough news, I actively leaned into gratitude. I looked at my life and realized that what I am most grateful for is the incredible people and energy I have around me right now. It is positive, it is powerful, and it is peaceful. No bad news can strip that away unless I let it.
When things are not going well, don't close your eyes and brace for impact. Open them. Look for the crumbs the universe leaves behind to guide you back to yourself. Whether it’s a gift from a friend, a meaningful conversation, or a random coin on the asphalt, those signs are there to ground us.
We aren’t here for a long time, friends. Enjoy your time here, guard your joy, and keep your eyes open.
