There is power in deciding that my joy is no longer up for negotiation.
I decided to commit fully and unapologetically to what I call the delusion of happiness.
I choose to lean into joy, expect the best, and actively look for magic in the ordinary.
It isn’t about denying life's complications or pretending hardship doesn't exist. It’s about choosing where to focus my mind. It’s the conscious choice to wake up and decide that my emotions and moods won’t be distracted by outside forces.
Living this way requires pure intention. I work to surround myself with things that feel pure, serene, and beautiful. I choose to see possibilities instead of roadblocks, and I trust that things are constantly shifting in my favor, even when the path feels uncertain.
I am focused on protecting my peace as if it is my most valuable asset. If a conversation, an environment, or a thought process drains the room, I walk away from it.
When you choose joy before the evidence shows up, something shifts. You stop reacting to life and start proactively deciding how you want it to be. You realize that happiness isn't a reward given at the end of a long struggle; it’s a prerequisite for living well.
So let the world call it delusional. I’ll call it peace, progress, and the sweetest way to keep going.
