Happy birthday Terralisa

Happy 55th…My Sister, My Confidante, My Inspiration

You are officially my cousin-in-law, but over the years, "in-law" became "friend," and "friend" became "soul sister." Today, as I celebrate your 55th birthday, I’m looking back on the beautiful, messy, and triumphant journey we’ve shared, and I am just so overwhelmed with gratitude.

Through the highs and the lows we have navigated the mountain peaks where the view was breathtaking, and we have leaned hard on one another in the valleys when the shadows felt a little too low. We didn't just survive those moments; we used them to grow. Watching you evolve has been one of the greatest honors of my life. You handle life with a grace that is rare, anchored by your unwavering faith and your home at St. Mark Baptist Church.

I don't know how you do manage all the crowns you wear but you wear every single one of your hats with such style and heart.

Your devotion to your family is the heartbeat of everything you do. Watching you pour love into the next generations is a masterclass in legacy.

My favorite is watching you grow into the artist and author you were aaways destined to be. To see you take your experiences and turn them into art is incredible. You don't just write words; you minister through them. Your poetry heals, challenges, and inspires.

My prayer is for you to be blessed with even more.

May you have more laughter that makes your stomach ache, more inspiration for your pen, more moments of peace in your spirit, and more "Gigi" hugs than you can count. You have poured so much into everyone around you; I hope this year the universe (and the Lord!) pours it all back into you twofold.

Happy Birthday, to my cousin. Here is to 55 years of light, and many, many more to come!

"May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you."
